The DNC® PA-2 Model Semi-Automatic Box Erector is a very helpful tool for the operator who needs cartons and boxes assembled quickly for filing on the spot. The operator manually unfolds the cardboard box and places the bottom side inside the PA-2. Upon contact with the machine's sensor, a pneumatical system folds the lower flaps closed.

The main advantage this machine offers is that it keeps the bottom flaps folded and the carton held in place so that the operator has both hands free to fill the box. Once contents have been filled, the operator pushes a button to automatically expel the carton, which is normally then fed into a sealing machine: L-15, L-25 or L-35.

After a short training period, any operator will be able to achieve significant output speeds, with working positions being much more comfortable than with other systems that demand hold boxes while filling.
