Mankind has known the catastrophic effects of static electricity since it witnessed the first bolt of lightning; the effects of static are a common part of everyday life. Within today's industry however, it can lead to both handling and production problems. CurTec recently developed a number of conductive kegs to suit any storage, transit or handling application requiring surface resistivity =106 Ohm/o.

The kegs maintain their conductive and resistive properties during storage, transit, distribution or application. During production CurTec performs a 100% quality control; the surface resistivity of every keg is measured. Test results are available on demand. The kegs have received UN-approval and are suitable for the packing of dangerous goods and are manufactured from a special plastic, which guarantees a permanent surface resistivity of =106 Ohm/o. After production, the surface resistivity of each keg is measured and recorded.
